This is one tale these anglers will likely never forget.
Conor Cogan and his friends had been fishing off Port Stephens, Australia, on New Year’s Day when they get a little too close to a feisty striped marlin.
As video captured by Cogan displays, the 200 -pound fish leapt out of the water toward the boat, nearly impaling him and knocking him into the sea. “Pretty much as close as it gets, ” Cogan wrote on Facebook.
Be warned that the video contains strong speech :
Cogan told the Newcastle Herald that the marlin “hit him, ” but he was left without a scratch.
The news outlet said the mighty fish “lived to opposed another day.”
