The Maver Signature Pro Keepnets come under the beady eye of Angler’s Mail tackle editor Richard Howard. He’s the No.1 products inspector, checking out loads of quality kit every week.
Description: a high-quality keepnet for containing match carp.
Specifications: 2.5 and 3 m sizes; top section measures 56 x 46 cm; ultra-strong closed weave, water-repellent mesh; metal rings with protective rubber coating; padded top ring; adjustable screw thread.
My verdict: fill a keepnet full of carp week in, week out, and it will eventually start to show signs of wear, especially the part that’s below the surface. Maver have addressed this issue by releasing this robust design.
They may not be the lightest keepnet that you are likely to encounter, but Maver bagger Andy Kinder tells me that they are âbulletproofâ.
Theyâve been built to last, right down to the rubber-coated metal rings. It’s thought that the dark finish of the keepnet will help to keep contained fish calm.
