The Kodex Twist ânâ Lock Landing Net Handle comes under the beady eye of Angler’s Mail tackle editor Richard Howard. He’s the No.1 products inspector, checking out loads of quality kit every week.
Description: an adjustable specimen landing net handle.
Specifications: can be locked at any length between 1.1 and 2 m; twist-lock mechanism; lightweight, titanium carbon construction; weighs 215 g; stress load capacity rating of 18 kg (40 lb); 18.5 mm diameter butt; gunmetal, anti-glare thread.
My verdict: you want a landing net handle that is light, strong, long and locks positively. This Twist ânâ Lock handle looks like it ticks all of those boxes.
I like the fact that it collapses to just over a metre (3.5 ft), as it is easy to carry, even with a net attached, and it also helps you to net fish close to the bank or when fishing from a boat.
Youâll also appreciate its full 2 m (6.5 ft) length when you need to reach over a weedy margin or down a steep bank to net a fish or put one back.
Itâs a decent price, too. Shop around and you will find it being retailed for around £25.
