Great run of form for canal chub and perch

IF YOU’VE ever moved a long way from home, you’ll know how finding new fishing venues can be daunting – but fun. One angler who really got to grips with it is Adam Jones.

Adam is in great form with lures. He followed up a superb canal chub of 6 lb 9 oz and a 4 lb 5 oz perch a few weeks ago with this 4 lb 4 oz stripy (above) and 5 lb 8 oz chevin.

The 30-year-old long-lost Welsh lad, now living in London, has been using his mobile approach to locate and catch loads of specimens.

How about this for lure-caught chub!

The medical device sales specialist explained: ““When I had the 4 lb 4 oz perch, low and slow was the order of the evening.

“I managed a 2 lb 8 oz perch and a 5 lb chub as well, all in a 40-minute session before dark.

“All the fish have been caught on variations of the Z-Man Ned Rig, using various Z-Man lures.

“The last few fish have fallen to the Z-Man TRD Bugz in the Junebug pattern,” added Adam.
